A sneak peek from Issue 4 of The Adventurers Comic.

Here is some work in progress shots from a few panels for issue 4 of The Adventurers.

Issue 4 has been the most artistically challenging issue yet. For one thing, the backgrounds have been quite demanding. I have been pushing myself a bit more with some sequential ideas. Also, it is set at night so I need to include heavier shadows. 

 I love shadows, especially in black and white as it creates much more of an impact, however it is a very tricky business getting it right. You can see I pencilled in the blacks before "spotting" them just to be sure!

I have had fun coming up with this new rogue for The Adventurers. The Leprechaun! Lots of potential for comical moments. No immediate plans for him in the first series at the moment, but in the future who knows?

Here is the black and white original picture. I had fun colouring it but I think I STILL prefer the black and white image. (Probably because my mind can colour it better than I can on the computer at the moment.)
